Quality Control Manufacturing Guide

The Complete Guide to Garment Quality Control and Inspection

In the global apparel industry, a brilliant design can be entirely ruined by poor execution. For high-performance activewear and premium streetwear brands, consistent manufacturing quality is the foundation of customer retention. At Feaxe Sports, our garment quality control process is not an afterthought reserved for the end of the line; it is a rigorous, multi-stage protocol integrated into every single step of your custom clothing production.

The 3-Stage Apparel Inspection Standard

To eliminate defects and guarantee that your bulk order matches your approved tech pack perfectly, our factory floor operates on a strict three-tier textile quality assurance system:

01

Pre-Production Fabric Inspection

Before any cutting begins, we inspect the raw material rolls. We validate the fabric's GSM (grams per square meter), test for shrinkage, and verify exact Pantone colorfastness to ensure the dye will not bleed during commercial washing.

02

In-Line Sewing Checks

As garments move down our automated sewing lines, our QC managers conduct continuous random sampling. We check seam strength, verify flatlock and overlock stitch integrity, and ensure that custom DTF or heat transfer prints are aligned perfectly according to your artwork specs.

03

Final Post-Production Inspection

Once fully assembled, every garment undergoes a final visual and physical audit. We check for loose threads, validate the dimensional measurements against the sizing grade chart, and ensure all custom woven neck labels and frosted polybags are securely applied.

Understanding Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL)

Professional clothing manufacturing QC relies on standardized metrics. We utilize the industry-standard Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) methodology during our final batch inspections. This statistical sampling process allows us to rigorously catch critical defects (like broken zippers) and major defects (like incorrect sizing labels) before your inventory is boxed for international freight.
